Marjestic WA( Marwan Al Shaqab x Miraga WA )
[ Click here to read and article on Marjestic written by AHW ] Elegant and refined, Marjestic WA exemplifies the great horses from which he hails and promises another generation of his ancestors’ potency. Two important truths are shared and agreed upon by fine horse breeders the world over, regardless of the breed in which they are most interested. Number One: The tail female line of a pedigree is the most powerful indication of the horse in question. Number Two: To be an important and prepotent breeding horse, a stallion must have an exceptional dam. This is not to say that the stallion’s mother must be a great show horse, but rather that she must be a great producer. If these axioms are as true as world-class breeders have believed them to be for hundreds of years, Marjestic WA has extraordinary potential as a sire. Of the five (5) Aristocrat mares in his pedigree, three (3) are found on tail the female line. These are: Miata, Marjestic’s second dam, Miata’s dam, Muscaffona, and Muscaffona’s dam, Sanraffona. The fourth Aristocrat mare in this stellar line up is Raffoleta Rose, the dam of Fame vf, who appears twice herein. And the fifth is Daniel C. Gainey’s immortal Gay Rose, dam of Gamaar, who was the sire of Leta Rose, the dam of Raffoleta Rose. It is undeniable that Marjestic comes from a heritage of the finest breeding horses, AND the most successful show horses. Following is a brief glimpse of the latter––again, beginning with the mares, this time, starting at the top: (Note: The below list includes only one National honor per horse. Most have numerous other significant wins and most records can be found on the Registry Datasource)
The Showgirls:
Now let’s hear it for the boys . . . (listed here in order of “closeness” in the pedigree)
